Coordinates: 55.915752 21.849933
Object address: Darius and Girenas street, 25, Plunge, Lithuania
Municipality: Plungė district
A red brick house is built near the Babrungas River. It is the former Oginskis manor washhouse. Its maids used to wash the clothing and bedding of the Duke and of other inhabitants of the manor. There used to be a body of water next to the washhouse.
After World War II, this house became a kerosene store, where the citizens, who wanted to prepare food using a kerosene stove, could acquire kerosene and have their kerosene bottles refilled.
During the last years of Soviet rule, the second floor premises of the Oginskis manor washhouse were used by the artists of the Department of Culture. Afterwards, this building was used for commercial purposes and now the Plungė Doglovers Club are using the premises.
