On the embankment of Danė River, in Šiaurinis ragas (the North Cape) you will see a bronze girl, standing on her tiptoes. She is sending a kiss to a sculpture of a boy with puppy, standing on the other side of Danė River. Sculpture accordingly named „Kiss“. Author of sculpture – sculptor Romualdas Kvintas. Klaipėda quay is decorated by this sculpture on 7 June 2014.

Sculpture „Kiss“ – this is the company‘s Klaipėda Container Terminal gift to the city. Its General Director Vaidotas Šileika wanted to commemorate the company‘s twentieth anniversary in any significant manner, therefore the company has become the customer of the sculpture „Kiss“.

„We expect that tourists will really like this lovely girl, and it will be shining in all year round, stroked by tourists‘ hands“, – hoped Vaidotas Šileika.

Residents of the port city love the bronze girl – not only sending a kiss, but waiting for it as well, so

they take initiative to adorn this work of art with cozy accents: colourful necklace, socks, singlet, little costume. Kiss awaiting girl also won the sympathy of tourists: not the one who comes to the North Cape dares to kiss a girl.
