Bunker of the Observation Post of Kurmarkas Bastion

During the Second World War, the bunker of the Kurmarkas bastion observation post was built. It was a part of Klaipėda fortification complex. Paramilitary fire brigades were on duty in this bunker and had to report the outbreaks of fire in the city during the bombing attacks. Firefighting operations had to be initiated right after the bombing stopped.
The object is marked with a military heritage symbol.
