At the road, leading to Vasaros estrada (Summer Stage) there are located monuments to the Klaipėda region‘s song festivals.

There were held three universal song festivals in the Klaipėda region. The first – on 6-7 June 1927. During it exhibition of Lithuanian folk instruments and Lithuanian prints was opened by initiative of Juozas Žilevičius. This song festival was attended by 12 choirs, about 600 singers and 100 musicians of the orchestra. 

The second song festival took place in 1933 and was dedicated to the decade of the region‘s joining to Lithuania. The Germans did not allow Vydūnas to come to the festival despite he was honorary chairman of the first festival.   

The third song festival took place in 1938 and was dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of the restoration of state and to the fifteenth anniversary of the Klaipėda region‘s joining to Lithuania. Then the choirs contest was organized. Klaipėda male choir of Riflemen‘s Union won the first place. (Mažosios Lietuvos enciklopedija. Vilnius, 2000, p. 263).
